A passer-by would insert their change into the weight machine, step on the scale, and have one of these cards spit back at the them with their weight imprinted, or engraved, in the empty area in the middle of the card. This is one of several such film related sets issued by the Peerless Weighing and Vending Machine Corporation. Because of the cards practical use it's issued on a very thick board, frankly I don't know if you could bend it without breaking it.
