1930 BAT Cinema Stars - Teal -
Red Backs
The
date seems a little late based upon the names in the checklist, but
cross-checking these where possible including
Murray's Guide and the
vendor I
purchased them from, 1930 seems to be the agreed upon date.
Teal refers to the cigarettes advertised on back. As the
image shows the set I broke here have red backs, Murray's also mentions a blue
backed set.
50 cards in the set with a heavy cowboy and leading lady theme,
several of the stars appear on two cards in the same set. All 50 are
pictured below, along with a complete checklist. Each card measures
approximately 1-7/16" X 2-7/16".
