These are listed in Jefferson Burdick's American Card Catalog (ACC) with the T85 designation. These American tobacco cards were issued by the Tobacco Products Coporation with an ad for Strollers Cigarettes on the reverse. The ACC catalog notes that there are three Types of T85 tobacco cards, as follows:
Type 1 -- Sepia (100 cards) numbered
Type 2 - Black & White (220 cards) numbered, different
Type 3 - Black & White (120 cards) portrait in oval
My guess is that the reference to different by Burdick would be a notation about the different backs that the cards are found with. Some cards have a description of the actor, while others have an ad for Strollers, such as the example shown at the left.

The Type 3 cards, notated by Burdick as portrait in oval, are
shown on another page of this site and closely resemble the
American Caramel Movie Star Cards of the same year
in design, though in smaller Strollers size.
At the top of the page is a large image of
both sides of card #60 Rudolph Valentino and below are images of several other cards from what I believe Burdick refers to as Type 2 cards (black & white, not sepia).
