1934 Lux Toilet Soap 9x12 Studio Portraits
We have updated this page since acquiring another lot of
these Lux premiums which included the envelope that they were issued in (at
left). We can only assume that these premiums were distributed by Lux
Toilet Soap to stores selling their product. Besides there being
additional images of the premiums, there is also a checklist of the 22 known
premiums (out of 33) at the bottom of the page.
Beautiful black and white, 9"x12", premium/promotional photo. Since the photo is larger than the scanner we have centered each photo to the top and left--this allows you to see the black border which actually goes around all four sides of the picture. Light cardboard stock, facsimile signature. Text on the back states, for example: "For your Collection! It's sweeping the country. Every one is making a personal collection of these beautiful studio portraits. be sure to include in your collection this fascinating portrait of Fay Wray, star of Columbia's "Black Moon.""
