1934 Cavenders Tobacco Cards
"Cinema Stars" Hand Coloured Pictures

Very attractive set of 30 cards featuring all female stars of the early 1930's period.  Each card measures appx. 1-7/16" X 2-5/8". 

I had originally thought the year was too late on these, as several of the photos used in the set appear to be earlier than 1934 and most of the films mentioned on the reverse of the cards are from 1927 through to about 1930.  However there is biographical information on the backs of several cards (especially information regarding spouses) which do indicate a 1934 date.
