1929 Movie-Land Keeno CALLING CARDS Check our store for availability.

I have recently come upon a variation in this game which account for the the early 1929 copyright date.  The checklist and images in the right column are from the more familiar version of the game, a version which appears to have been issued sometime in the early 1930's, probably sometime before 1934 or so.  The checklist and cards depicted in the left column seem to come from an earlier version of the game and include many silent stars who were probably transitioning to talkies at the time the game was issued.  These are more likely the 1929 edition cards, though there are several prominent stars missing, most notably those pictured on the game box who are no where to be found: Charlie Chaplin, Clara Bow, etc.  The discovery of this earlier set has led me to be optimistic that there may be yet another edition of the game which includes these earlier stars.  Then again, possibly not. 

About the cards in general: The CALLING Cards are matched to the small photos on the back of each KEENO Card.  Each CALLING Card is similar to a playing card and measures 2-5/16 X 3/5/16 inches with rounded corners.  Every CALLING Card has the same design on back.  This design is shown above at the right.
