I had mentioned one of the features I lost migrating over to Vista was the ability to use Front Page to create Slide Shows (well, I probably could, but I’ll be upgrading to Expressions soon and I can’t there). So I was very happy to get an email with a special offer from CoffeeCup, whose product I used to build my sitemap, for their Flash Photo Gallery — it had been exactly what I was looking for! I downloaded the free trial last night and within 20 minutes of my test drive (which is fully functional for a month) I returned and made my purchase. Here’s where you can do so as well:
For a look at the results I’ve already modified two of my pre-existing slide shows with CoffeeCup Flash Photo Gallery:
Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle
Lionel Barrymore
For regular visitors you’ll note this gallery can do a lot more — my favorite feature is clicking on each particular item and being taken to the appropriate Photo ID Guide on the site. This is something I would have done with FrontPage if I could, but I couldn’t. I’m so thrilled over the fact that I can do this now that I really don’t mind it slowing me down, but otherwise these slide shows transfer over to CoffeeCup very fast. And it’s easy too!
