Classic British Cinema -- Beautiful web site dedicated to British cinema from it's beginnings through the 1950's. Includes profiles & photos of British stars from the past such as Phyllis Calvert, Margaret Lockwood, Ida Lupino, Patricia Roc, Ann Todd, Clive Brook, Robert Donat, Leslie Howard, Raymond Massey and many others. I really enjoyed this one and even used it for some research on items up for sale!

Denny C. Jackson's Actresses of the Silver Screen -- I've been reading Denny's bios for a few years on the imdb now, I was very happy to stumble upon his site from a link on Brad Lang's site. A very long list of actresses, each with her own page, each written up in Denny's own style.
Hollywood Stories.com -- Hollywood's greatest stories put together in amazing audio books! Hollywood Stories presents Fascinating Walt Disney and Tales of Hollywood in digital stereo. The site of The Movie Profiles & Premiums contributor Stephen Schochet.
Ithaca Motion Picture Project -- An independent, non-profit cultural and educational organization whose principal mission is to preserve and renovate the original Wharton Studio building, in Central, New York. From 1911 to 1923, over 100 silent films were directed and produced there. The building will serve as a center devoted to multimedia education, exhibition and film development and production.

The Picture Show Man -- A website dedicated to exploring the history of motion pictures.
The Production Code of the Motion Picture Industry (1930-1968) -- This web site reproduces the Production Code and gives examples of where the Code prevented proposed stories and scenes from reaching American cinemas. Scenes that violated, challenged or stretched the limits of the Code are described.
Senses of Cinema -- An online journal devoted to the serious and eclectic discussion of cinema. Not exclusively classic, but all movies discussed here are quality films. For a little fun check out their Top 10 lists.

Silent Movie Blog -- Established 2008 and as of my posting it here in early April looks to be kept up to date well. I hope it keeps going, some great images from blogger Christopher Snowden's collection. Brief punchy write-ups too, but the images are meant to be the highlights, and they're great!
Silents in the Court -- An online resource for public exhibitions of silent and early sound films. Includes up to date schedules of when the silents and early talkies are showing in theatres all over the United States. This site was quite a find I thought!

The Internet Movie Database -- or IMDb, the database on this site is the most complete listing of casts and films around. Take a look under one of our favorites, Clara Bow, to see what this site will provide for just about any film-related name you can think of! Impossible to do film research without this valuable source!
The Movie Pal -- A huge list of links for the following: General Film Sites, Individual Artists, Specific Films, Film Buff Contributions. Established in 1997. Many tributes done by The Movie Pal themselves plus independent sites as well. Puts a lot of stuff in one place for you!
The Silent Film Bookshelf -- A huge selection of reprints of original documents of the Silent Film era as edited by David Pierce. You could get caught up in this site for quite a while!
The Third Man Museum -- Multilingual site for the Museum located in Vienna, Austria. Includes a photo gallery of some memorabilia from The Third Man. Personally one of my top two or three favorite films, I'm pleased to say I sold the proprietor a March 1949 issue of The American Magazine containing the original publication of Graham Greene's "The Third Man."
