Classic British Cinema -- Beautiful web site dedicated to
British cinema from it's beginnings through the 1950's. Includes profiles
& photos of British stars from the past such as Phyllis Calvert, Margaret
Lockwood, Ida Lupino, Patricia Roc, Ann Todd, Clive Brook, Robert Donat, Leslie
Howard, Raymond Massey and many others. I really enjoyed this one and even

link on Brad Lang's site. A very long list of actresses, each with her own
page, each written up in Denny's own style.

related site, it's a Pirate site (!), but it fits in this link category best.
The main reason this link is here is for the excellent and comprehensive
Pirate Movies of
the Cinema page. It's billed as the largest index of pirate films on the net, and it's certainly
pretty long and very interesting. You can also purchase Redbeard Bob
L'Aloge's book, "Matinee at the Bijou" as advertised on his home page (one of
several titles he has authored).
